Sometimes I am the one who is weighed down with concerns of life and at other times it is someone I am acquainted with. God knows it is not good for us to carry the load alone and though He tells us to cast our cares on Him for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7), he also wants us to come alongside each other to encourage and help one another.
Has God impressed on your heart something special this week?
Was there a Scripture verse, a song, a quote, a poem or an encouraging word that came your way and caused you to pause.

I think serving others is one of the best ways to encourage ourselves. It's the best feeling to give a bit of me to someone else. This is a great scripture verse and a beautiful photo!
Blessings to you and yours for a great new week. Tammy
I keep trying to remember
no matter what, Jesus is always the most
important relationship you will ever have.
Great post. My heart is heavy with a few different things. I needed this reminder to just give it all to the Lord. Thank you!
Hi Lorraine,
Thank you so very much for visiting me and leaving such a sweet note. It's a pleasure meeting you. I love this scripture and I needed it too this week. I love the saying..God only gives us what we can handle, maybe so but I believe in prayer and it does help I know this from the bottom of my heart...

What a sweet post L. Thank heavens our faith sustains us and we are able to help others. I love how you always put your family first. You are positive and happy and have lifted me during my visits many times Thank you so much!
I Corinthians 2:14:
"Now the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually judged."
.... does this not exactly describe the world around us today ?
Beautiful picture, wonderful verse and perfect message.
It always seems to me that a verse, or quote will always pop up just when I need it the most. Makes me stop and think
Wonderful post; one of the earliest verses we learned as children. Such a promise to instill in our hearts from our early memories.
Lorraine, I'm so happy to link up to your party this week. I don't know how often I'll be in the right place at the right time, but what a lovely party and so needed.
The Scripture you posted is one of my favorites. I was actually thinking of it today as I listened to a beautiful song that says, "To be a Christian, is to bear another's load, to carry what they hold, when they can't walk another day." So true.
Thanks for being a gracious hostess.
Thank you very much, Ms L. You made my heart leap, I am so thankful! Comments like yours give me such an inspiration. Joyful tears rolling!
Thank you, I will try your pound cake.
